Marco was diagnosed with kidney failure at age 17. After being on dialysis, Marco received a kidney from a Good Samaritan Kidney Donor named Scott. Scott didn't know Marco, but he did know that there are people who are in need of a kidney transplant and he wanted to help. Marco and Scott met the day before the transplant surgery. They are both doing great and have become good friends.
Adam's mom remembers exactly where she was standing when her son Adam brought up the subject of organ donation. When Lisa was faced with the reality of losing her teenage son, that conversation came back to her and she readily made the decision to donate Adam's organs. She was able to meet the man who received Adam's liver and they have become close friends.
