The Threads of Life Quilt is dedicated to the memory of those who gave the gift of life, sight and mobility. It also celebrates the lives of transplant recipients and offers hope to those awaiting transplant. The quilt is comprised of individually-designed squares created by people touched by organ, eye, and tissue donation in Idaho. Each unique square carries with it its own special meaning to those that submitted it.
The first quilt was completed and unveiled in 2016. A second Threads of Life Quilt was recently created and unveiled at an event in Boise on April 12, 2018. Plans are already being made for a third quilt.
If you would like to submit a square for the next quilt, but do not have quilting experience, we have volunteers who are happy to work with you on a design and then create the square for you. Please click here for more information.
The 2016 YesIdaho Scrapbook allows you to get a view of the quilt and learn about the stories behind each square.
